Bakings

What I’ve baked, or what I’d like to.

12/14/25: Cast-iron birthday pizzas. Celebration with family and friends is cause for pizza, and I see no reason for venturing out for some. Went and whipped up some chicken breast for the one on the right, along with bacon and spinach. Jalapeño and pepperoni on the right.

12/9/25: Banana bread muffins, with extra nuts. Because sometimes you want banana bread muffins, with extra nuts.

11/23/25: Snickerdoodles. A silly cookie I didn’t fully get when I was younger, because of the name, sure, but mainly for the vagueness of its flavor. “Cinnamony” was never enough for me when I asked what they tasted like, or why people seem to obsess over them. It wasn’t until my partner (obsessed) requested I make them that I realized the hype. Sweet, a little bit of a snap from the cream of tartar, a good buttery cookie that vanish before they’re cold.

11/18/25: Cardamom buns. Slightly over-baked, I took them out at around 14 minutes, thought they looked light so I put them back in and then disappeared apparently. Still delicious and a good use of flavor, but would love to find a recipe for these that doesn’t cause a buttery, sugary, molten catastrophe on the bottoms.
